Men’s Basketball Rallies To Top Peninsula

Bellevue College’s men’s basketball team put up 44 points in the second half to cut a three-point halftime deficit en route to a 75-71 win tonight over Peninsula at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion.

O’Landa Baker scored 25 points and had 5 steals in another all around effort on both the offensive and defensive fronts to lead the Bulldogs. He was 4-for-6 from the field and 4-for-5 from the free throw line and had 3 of his 5 steals in the second half to turn the momentum to BC’s side.

Bellevue wasted no time in the second half with their rally as Jett Briceno’s 15-footer tied it up only 1:30 into the second half at 34-all.

With 5:00 to go in the game BC pulled away on a three-pointer by Maui Sze, leading 63-57. The lead would extend to eight with 29 seconds to go which left no chance for the Pirates to catch up.

Bellevue is now 5-2 and in second place and will face off at Edmonds this Saturday May 1 at 4:00 p.m.
