BC Women’s Golf Takes Spring Shootout Title

Tori Berger BC Golf

Bellevue College women’s golf opened up the 2021 spring season with another victory, winning the BC Spring Shootout by 23 strokes over runner-up Skagit Valley. The season opener, held at the Club at Snoqualmie Ridge, was an inaugural event held at the same site of the annual PGA Champions Tour Boeing Classic held each August. The players found tough conditions that featured tight pin positions and cold weather.

Sarah Lawrence fired an 83 to lead Bellevue and take home medalist honors for the tourney. Tori Berger followed with an 86 while Ashley Clark carded an 89. Bellevue was the only squad to have all three scoring members break 90, with several players, on both the men’s and the women’s sides of the tourney, having difficulty doing so.

Bellevue has now won two tourneys and finished runner-up twice in the 2020-21 season. Bellevue will take some time off to prepare for academic finals and spring break before their next match, the Olympic Invitational held at The Home Course on April 6-7.
