The BC men’s team squeaked past Big Bend 70-69 in their first match-up on Saturday, then lost to Portland 76-77 on Sunday. This was the Portland men’s team’s first-ever appearance in the NWAACC Tournament, and they would go on to complete that Cinderella story with the 2014 Championship. In the meantime, the Bulldogs would play their final game on Monday, losing to Clark College, 70-80, to be eliminated from the tournament. It was a good season all the way around though and we are very proud of our teams and their entire coaching staffs!
Sophomore Austin O’Keefe was selected for the NWAACC Men’s Basketball All-Stars Northern Region First Team. O’Keefe also started in the NWAACC All-Star Game on Sunday March 9 at Pierce College and scored 14 points.
