Bellevue College baseball’s freshmen got their feet wet early in the surroundings of Bellevue College baseball as fourteen scouts attended scout day, which also happened to be the first day the entire team got together for their first practice on September 17. Brady Kerr had three consecutive throwdown times under 1.9 seconds while Max Brown, the team’s fastest runner from last year, had the top 60 time of 6.7 seconds on grass. He was matched by new freshmen Nate Anderson and Nick Pribble who ran 6.8. Aaron Stroosma showed tools both with a 6.9 60 time and power with wood. Brown also hit home runs during his rounds. Noel Gonzalez, a righty from the Naches, was the top pitcher velocity-wise and is one of a large handful of right-handed frosh who will compete for pitching time. Lefty Nick Kiel spun four pitches for strikes after not pitching off a mound since last January. Bellevue will play it’s first fall scrimmage this Friday September 28 at 4pm at Edmonds. It will be an 18-straight inning affair.
