Four members of the Bellevue College men’s soccer team were named Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges All-Academic honorees, announced earlier this month by the conference office.
Of the 29 student athletes from the twenty member schools that were recognized, sophomore Alan Villavicencio (Bothell, Wash.) had the highest grade point average, currently carrying a 3.88 GPA as a computer science major. Balin Larson (Seattle, WA), posting a cumulative 3.83 GPA while majoring in computer science, and Daniel Giuntoli (Seattle, WA) also earned recognition with a 3.52 GPA as physical therapist major and lastly Alexandru Morari (Chisinou, Romania) with 3.47 GPA .
To be eligible for NWAACC All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a 3.25 or better GPA, must be at least sophomore eligibility or earned greater than 36 credits, and recommended by the College. Bellevue College had the second-highest representation on this year’s NWAACC All-Academic squad, behind Peninsula’s six student athletes.
“We are extremely proud of these quality individuals’ accomplishments and look forward in their further success at the next level” commented Coach Shen.
