Red Hot Bulldogs! Winning Streak Reachs 24 Games

The Bellevue CC Softball team is among the hottest squads in the Northwest, having won 24 consecutive games in compiling a 25-2 overall record, 18-0 in Northern Region play.

After sweeping three games at the NWAACC crossover tournament in Selah, WA last weekend, the Bulldogs returned to Northern Region competition on April 22 with a doubleheader at Edmonds Community College.

The Bulldogs made short work of the struggling Tritons (1-17), winning both games without yielding a run. In the first contest, Christine Miller-Long struck out six in propelling Bellevue to a 12-0 victory. Erica Addison and Lauren Smoot each homered to provide the offensive punch, as BCC outhit Edmonds 14-2.

It was more of the same in the nightcap, as Michelle Ruby pitched a no-hit shutout, leading BCC to an 11-0 victory. Ruby also helped her own cause behind the plate, as she and teammate Whitney Whittemore belted a pair of home runs.
