Softball Has Strong Week

The softball team (4-2, 10-6) had a strong week going 3-1 and creeping closer to first place in the North Division. Coach Leah Francis feels that the pitchers are throwing very well and the hitters are starting to get in a groove.

In the first game against Peninsula April 11 the Bulldogs had a streak in the third inning where they sent five hitters to the plate and four of them smashed homeruns: Megan McLachlan led off the third with her first homerun of the year, followed by Nicole Higgins and Megan Zender solo homeruns, and two batters latter Lauren Reid hit a monster shot over the scoreboard in center.

The Bulldogs host Edmonds (0-6) April 14 in a double header at Bellevue College Field with the first pitch at 2:00pm. April 16 they travel to take on division leader Everett (7-1) at Everett CC Sports Center with the first pitch at 2:00pm. April 18-19 the Bulldogs will participate a Crossover Tournament in Selah, WA.
