Bellevue College Softball Performs Community Service Over Holidays

The Bellevue College softball team participated in community service projects this fall quarter, working to help those less fortunate in their community.

The team adopted a local family for Christmas, purchasing gifts for a family of five. The team will distribute the gifts this week, to be enjoyed for the holidays!

In addition, on December 12, the team spent a few hours at Hope Link, a local food bank located off 148th, near the college. The team spent their time sorting food in preparation for distribution. The volunteer director said it was one of the most fun and efficient groups he has ever worked with! In addition to their volunteering efforts, the team raised $400 and as a group, went and purchased food to be donated directly to Hope Link.

Helping those in need and giving back to the local community is a very important part of what it means to be a member of the BC softball team and they look forward to more opportunities to serve the community!
