The Bellevue softball team swept two big road doubleheaders against Shoreline CC and Olympic CC to move their record to 8-0 in the north region, and 22-2 overall.
Against Shoreline on Tuesday, April 10, Danielle Orvella picked up the win in game one 9-2, throwing six scoreless innings, while Danielle Jackman threw the last inning in relief to secure the win. Offensively, the Bulldogs had nine hits and nine runs, led by home runs by Haylee Baker (2), Shelby Poole and Lindsey West.
In game two against the Dolphins, the Bulldogs won 12-6. Jackman picked up the win, while the Dawgs pounded out 12 runs on 12 hits: West (2), Emily Guluarte and Emilly Cunningham had homeruns in the winning effort, and Baker was 3-4.
On Saturday, April 14, the Bulldogs traveled to Bremerton where they beat Olympic College 3-1 and 11-3. Orvella picked up another win in game one. Baker led the offensive charge with a homerun and three RBIs. In game two, Jackman earned the win giving up just one hit and two runs over six innings. Cunningham came in to throw a scoreless seventh to preserve the win. West went 3-4 and Meagan Ransier was 2-2 to lead the offensive output.
The Bulldogs return home Wednesday, April 18, to host a North Region doubleheader against Douglas College. Games are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
