Friday, March 1, also marks the beginning of the 2013 softball season and the eighth year for Bellevue College head coach Leah Francis. The Bulldogs have enjoyed highly successful seasons and made seven straight NWAACC Championship Tournament appearances, securing division titles in 2011, 2009, 2008, 2006 and 2005. The Bulldogs travel to Portland to play at the Delta Park facility and ramp up the action against the following teams beginning on Friday: Northwest Christian at 5 p.m., then Southwest Oregon CC at 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 2, it’s Clackamas at 10 a.m., followed by Concordia at 12 p.m.
