The Bellevue College men’s and women’s golf teams traveled to Centralia to participate in a golf invitational October 9-10, where members of both teams set scoring records.
Women’s golfer, sophomore Katya Case, set a BC scoring record with a tournament score of 152. In her second straight win this year, she won the Centralia Invitational by 20 shots, and also led the women’s team to its second win this season. BC’s Tiffany Brunjes finished up at 3rd with a score of 174, and freshman Corey Reis, took 5th place with 178.
On the men’s side, freshman Colten Kleis shot a pair of 66s for a two-day total of 132, 10 under par, winning the Invitational by six shots. His 132 total broke the BC tournament scoring record previously held by Richard Lee at 134. The BC men’s team finished in 3rd place for the tournament.
The next outing is a road trip to Tri-Cities, for the 2011 CBC Hawk Invitational, Oct. 23-24.
