
In the final prep for this weekend’s NWAC Championships, Bellevue College men’s golf took third overall at the SW Oregon Invite held at the world-famous Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. The two-day tourney was played at Pacific Dunes and Bandon Trails Golf Courses at the resort. The home town team, SW Oregon had a home-course advantage and won the tourney by 18 strokes over BC. Bellevue’s two-day total of 598 was led by Dexter Simonds who finished tied for twelfth by shooting 73-76. Will Mansfield finished tied for thirteenth right behind Simonds with rounds of 82-68. Mansfield’s 68 was the low round of the day on Monday. Matt O’Brien tied for thirteenth also with a 74-76. Kevin Simmons shot 76-79 which was good for T27 while fellow freshman Curtis Koltermann shot 84-73 for T32.
The Bulldogs open up the NWAC Championships this Sunday at the Home Course in Dupont, WA. Tee times begin at 12:00 p.m. with the top four scores for each team going towards the team total in the quest for the title.
