Bellevue College women’s golf finished runner-up at the NWAC League Match hosted by Centralia College at Riverside Golf Club. The Bulldogs shot +98, eight strokes behind champion Columbia Basin.

The Bulldogs, who were tied for second after day one with Southwestern Oregon, were able to cut eight strokes off their day one total but could not make up any ground on the Hawks who outshot BC by three strokes on day two for their eight stroke win.

Individually, Bellevue number one seed golfer Jaclyn Yoo took home medalist honors, shooting a 78 on day two, Mon. Apr. 28. She was the lone golfer in the 33-player field to break 80. Yoo started the day two strokes behind Jayda Thomas of Centralia and was just one stroke behind with seven holes to play. She then finished the final seven holes at even par to win by three.

Kate Sabarillo shot a pair of 91’s while Kennedy Kimball shot 95-92 to round out Bellevue’s scoring. The Bulldogs were able to secure a runner-up finish despite losing player Bella Jones after day one to an injury. Bellevue will close out the regular season next week, May 3-4 at the conference’s final league match hosted by Spokane at Latah Creek GC.
