Yoo Leads Bellevue Women’s Golf to Title

Bellevue College women’s golf won their spring season opener, the South Puget Sound Invitational by six strokes shooting a two-day total of +48 to beat out runner up South Puget Sound. Bellevue started off red hot shooting +15 on day one Sat. Apr. 12, commanding a 14 stroke lead which they held onto despite faltering to a +33 on day two, Sun. Apr. 13.

Jaclyn Yoo shot 75-73 to earn medalist honors. She started the final round two shots back of Centralia’s Jayda Thomas. After going four over par in her first five holes, she was six back of the lead early on. Yoo flipped the script with birdies on four of her final 13 holes to end up winning by three strokes over Thomas. Bella Jones and Kennedy Kimball finished ninth and eleventh respectively in the individual standings.

The Bulldogs open up spring league play next week Apr. 21-22 at Avalon GC in Burlington.
