Bellevue College softball, coming off a series of runaway wins, lost by the run mercy rule 12-4 in the opener at Edmonds before bouncing back for a 3-1 win in the nightcap. The Tritons offense controlled early by putting up 10 runs in the first two innings of Bellevue starter Rachael Cole. Although Bellevue rallied for four runs in the middle innings, the damage was done.

The rest of the game was a pitchers’ duel as Baker excelled and helped her own cause by going the complete game in the circle allowing only six hits with no walks. Baker had two hits as did Preslie Jensen.
