
Bellevue College softball took two from visiting Shoreline by scores of 9-1 and 11-1 in a doubleheader moved forward due to the severe thunderstorms in the forecast for the Puget Sound region. Bellevue jumped out 3-0 in the first inning on back-to-back doubles by Brooke Baker and Hallie Sehlin. In the third inning, Riley Pirkle tripled to score Sehlin who tripled in the at bat previous as BC put up another three runs in the blowout. Baker, Sehlin, and Avery Grutz all had two hits.
In the nightcap, Bellevue put up six runs in the third as Baker threw four scoreless innings with five strikeouts for the win in the circle. Baker was phenomenal at the plate again as she had three RBI’s on two hits.
The Bulldogs are in first place at 6-0 (10-2 overall) and travel to Edmonds this Sat. Mar. 29. First pitch is slated for noon.
