Bellevue College baseball won with ease in game one before everything on the pitching and hitting end went south in game two, as the Bulldogs won 14-4 before falling 4-3 to visiting Shoreline. The doubleheader was the first league series of the 2025 season.
In the opener, the ‘dogs broke open a scoreless game thanks to two hit batters, an error and three key hits to jump up 4-0. Braeden Reese delivered the big blow, a two RBI single to drive in Brandon McKinley and Noah Fields. BC put up three more in the fourth on hits by Jackson May, Bobby Trigg, Caden Kennelly, and Fields.

The seventh inning was a long one that featured eight runs scored as both teams plated four runs. Shoreline benefited from three walks and two infield singles while BC came right back with four as Fields and Trigg again had key hits.
Drew Welk came in as relief pitcher and slammed the door with three quick outs. Dylan Skolfield tossed a one-hit shoutout through five innings for the win.
In game two, Bellevue appeared on the verge of an easy sweep up 2-0 before throwing strikes suddenly became an issue for Bellevue’s pitchers. Three walks and a hit batter allowed Shoreline to take the lead which the Dolphins held onto despite a ninth inning heroic effort by TJ Armstrong who blasted his first home run of the year to close the gap to the final score of 4-3. The ‘dogs were silenced with only three hits in the nightcap after pounding out 14 in game one.

Bellevue travels to Everett this Sat. Mar. 29 for a first pitch at 1 p.m. at Funko Field at Everett Memorial Stadium against Everett.
