Cold First Half Dooms Women’s Basketball

Bellevue women's basketball player

Bellevue College women’s basketball managed only 14 first half points and found themselves in a 33-14 halftime deficit to host Peninsula before eventually falling 63-41 in Port Angeles.

Bellevue could not find the bottom of the net in either quarter in the first half, shooting two-for-15 in the first quarter and two-for-13 in the second quarter for a 14% shooting percentage before halftime.

Bellevue’s third quarter did not fare much better shooting four-for-13 before finally flipping the script with a 54% clip in the fourth quarter. The 28-15 field goal differential proved to be the difference in a tough loss for the Bulldogs.

Ghadir Ramadan led Bellevue with nine rebounds, which was good for 33% of the entire team’s total, and nine points.

Bellevue will host Whatcom this Sat. Feb. 14 at 4 p.m.
