
Sophomore Jessi Mahler and Freshman Karisa Martin were both named to the NWAC All-North Region squads as voted on by the coaches of the North Region. Libero Jocie Snyder was named to the second team while freshman pin hitter Lexi Echols earned third team honors.
Mahler and Martin, who both prepped at Monroe HS, led the team’s offensive efforts this year as they head to the NWAC Regionals this weekend. Mahler had 359 kills on the season; good for fifth overall in the NWAC. As a six-rotation player, Mahler’s defensive skills were impressive as well with a team-high 353 digs. Her powerful arm was a weapon at the serve line as well with 36 aces.
Martin, an opposite who earned NWAC Player of the Week honors earlier this year, had over 180 kills and was second on the team with 55 blocks.

Snyder was a defensive stalwart in back row for the ‘dogs with 289 digs. Echols had 281 kills and played the most sets of any freshman with 109. The entire list for all of the NWAC regions can be found here.
