Bellevue College volleyball used a dominating offense swinging over .350 as they cruised to a 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-15) sweep over visiting Edmonds.

Bellevue was in control the entire night as the Tritons struggled offensively against BC’s front row, swinging at .027 with 20 errors. Bellevue was red hot, in sets two and three as middle blocker Annie Goetze connected with setter Mandi Nottingham for two consecutive kills on a 5-0 run in set two. BC stretched a 13-9 advantage to 17-9 to seize control.
In set three Jessi Mahler went on an early serve run as Bellevue distanced themselves from Edmonds going from 5-2 to 11-2 before a Triton side out finally ended Mahler’s threat.

Lexi Echols led the Bulldogs with nine kills at a .500 mark while setter Mandi Nottingham had 26 assists and eight digs on the defensive end; both team highs.

Bellevue is now 5-1 in North Region play and 20-5 overall. The ‘dogs have the weekend off before traveling to Bremerton next Wed. Oct. 23 to take on Olympic College at 7 p.m.
