
Bellevue College volleyball took care of business with a 3-0 sweep over visiting Everett at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. The Bulldogs won in easy fashion in set one 25-14 before having to work hard to hold on for sets two (25-21) and three (25-23).
Bellevue hit a red-hot .451 on the night as right side Karisa Martin had nine kills and hit .727. Jessi Mahler had 14 kills and seven digs while Kawehi Sarona had 10 digs. The ‘dogs had stellar defense all night with 33 digs, while allowing only 23 total kills by Everett’s offense in the three sets.
Down 23-21 in set three, the ‘dogs reeled off four straight points on a Trojan service error, a kill by Olivia Beal and two by Mahler to seal the come-from-behind win.
Bellevue is 3-1 in region play and 18-5 overall. They travel to Whatcom this Fri. Oct. 11 for a 7 p.m. first serve.
