
Bellevue College women’s tennis lost two matches last weekend falling to Spokane 9-0 before being taken down by Treasure Valley 4-2. The Bulldogs’ long trip closed out spring league play as Tess Wimer was the bright spot for BC. The sophomore won #2 singles by scores of 6-2, 7-5 and also took home #1 doubles, pairing with Bulldog teammate Shanna Chua winning 8-3.
The Bulldogs head to the NWAC Championships which begin this Sat. May 11 at the Wenatchee Racquet and Athletic Club. BC is the defending NWAC Champion as Coach Micah Perron was named NWAC Coach of the Year for leading the team to last spring’s title. The Bulldogs will face heavy competition led by Highline, who went 6-0 this spring in league play. The first serve is set for 10:30 a.m. with Bellevue’s #4 seed facing off with Highline’s #1 seed to open up the tourney.
