Bellevue College women’s basketball began league play today with a 0-0 record and took an undefeated mindset into the North Region opener at Olympic winning 76-68. Bellevue clutched up at the free throw line in the pivotal fourth quarter as sophomore Kristina Blauman sank five-of-six as the team made 71% going 10-for-14. The clutch free throws offset a four-for-18 from the field clip, keeping Olympic from any comeback.
The Bulldogs also came up big defensively outrebounding the Rangers 16-9 in the fourth. Alicia Morrison, who had four rebounds in the quarter, led the ‘dogs underneath with nine rebounds. Blauman had eight and was hot from the perimeter sinking three-of-four three-pointers for 16 points. Jadyn Mueller, back from an injury, came back in crisp form without missing a beat with 13 points.
Bellevue will host Everett Saturday Jan. 13 at 2 p.m.
