Adior Juang’s layup as time expired sent the Bulldog bench into a frenzy as Bellevue topped visiting Treasure Valley 58-57 at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. The buzzer beater was set up by a feed by BC’s Alicia Morrison following a go ahead bucket by Treasure in the final seconds.
Juang earlier had a key layup and free throw with 1:30 remaining to put Bellevue up 56-53. The Chukars put in two more buckets in the final minute as BC could not answer back until Juang’s heroics.
Mckenna Morris had 17 points while Jordyn Smith added 10. Juang had eight and had five rebounds and was a much needed spark off the bench as Bellevue played without their top scorer, Jadyn Mueller, who has been out with a knee injury.
The win evens out the heartbreaking overtime loss to the same team last week as Treasure topped Bellevue 63-61 earlier in the season. Bellevue’s rebound win puts them at 2-5 overall. They host South Puget Sound Sunday Dec. 10 at 2 p.m.
