Bellevue College women’s volleyball clinched the North Region title by defeating visiting Everett in four, 25-19, 25-13, 24-26, 25-19. This is Bellevue’s fourth consecutive region title.

After two easy sets, Everett’s offense found holes in Bellevue’s defensive coverage with a mix of soft tips and hard swings, hitting at a .385 clip to take set three. Bellevue responded back in set four after Everett kept their momentum from set three all the way to 15-14 before BC made it’s move. Three Everett errors along with a kill by Olivia Beal swung the momentum to Bellevue’s side as three more errors by Everett pushed Bellevue’s lead to 22-17. Jeanice Gamez, who had nine kills on the night, hammered one home for a 24-19 margin before another Everett error gave BC the win on set point.

Jessi Mahler led the Bulldogs with 10 kills and 17 digs. Tommi Gallucci had 13 digs and three aces.

Bellevue is 10-1 in region play and have their final home match tomorrow Friday Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. vs. Whatcom. Prior to the match, Bellevue’s four sophomores, Jeanice Gamez, Peytin Thompson, Gallucci, and Lauren Wittmers will be honored.
