Emalee Flemming got things going before Kayleigh Acree finished the damage as Bellevue College women’s soccer dominated in an 8-1 win today. The freshmen duo were firing on all cylinders as Flemming scored BC’s first three consecutive goals coming at the 16:55, 32:03, and 46:15 marks. Tallulah Baumgart fed Flemming on the first goal before Galila Abeye connected with Flemming on goals two and three.
After Whatcom finally got on the board in the second half, Emerson Winn scored for Bellevue before Acree went on a run with three goals. Rhys Cannava was sandwiched in between Acree’s first two goals, scoring at the 61:34 mark off a pass from Acree.
With the offensive dominance, BC’s Anya Gilbertson had only three shots on goal while Bellevue attacked with 15 in the mismatch.
Bellevue is 4-1-2 (5-1-3 overall) and is still within striking distance of first place with a big game coming up this Saturday October 7 as they host current first place Skagit Valley at noon.
