
Bellevue College softball continued their winning streak against another strong region foe by sweeping Douglas 6-0 and 8-3 today. In game one, Kaci Imus was firing on all cylinders striking out 10 in the circle in the complete game shutout. She spun an four hitter with no walks while throwing 71 of 90 pitches for strikes. Kelci Studioso swung the hot bat going three-for-three with two doubles and three stolen bases to lead the offense. Imus also helped her cause with two hits including a home run in the three-run third when Bellevue started to distance themselves from Douglas, taking a 4-0 lead.
In game two, the ‘dogs were down 3-2 in the fifth before the offense surged by scoring six runs in the final two innings to win. Studioso homered and got assistance from singles by Taylor Wong, Morgan Shults, and Haley Winckler for the big inning. Shults was three-for-four in the game. Katie Fodge went the distance in the circle limiting Douglas to just three hits in the game.
Bellevue is now 10-0 in North Region play (17-2 overall) and are riding at 14 game win streak heading into their next doubleheader this Wednesday April 5 against Edmonds at 4 p.m.
