Bellevue College volleyball continued their success against upper echelon NWAC volleyball teams as the Bulldogs defeated Spokane and North Idaho yesterday.
Bellevue took on host Spokane at 2:00 and won 26-24, 23-25, 25-15, 25-15. Bellevue took control in sets three and four thanks to a combined 17 errors by the Sasquatch in those sets. Arianna Bilby led the way for the Bulldogs with 18 kills and 16 digs. Setter Justine Benson had 17 assists while Savannah Sleasman had 14 digs and also had 3 service aces.
After the win, the squad traveled across the state border for the 7:00 p.m. North Idaho match, which Bellevue came up on the winning end (25-21, 25-17, 21-25, 25-21) and played a flawless second and fourth sets without committing an error.
Bellevue’s final game of the eastern Washington swing in Walla Walla was cancelled due to covid-concerns. The Bulldogs are 6-2 and will travel to Lower Columbia for their next match on Tuesday September 7 with first serve at 6:30 p.m.
