He also loves to fish and cook.
At O’Dea HS he would win the Metro League Championships, helped his team to a 3rd, 2nd and 1st place finish at the WIAA State Championships which eventually earn him a scholarship to Western Washington University. His NCAA tenure culminated in a 9th place team finish at the D2 National Championship in 2012. After winning the Seattle Amateur in 2012, Sandy competed on mini tours throughout the SW and many state opens and other professional events along the West coast from 2013-2015. He came in 5th in the 2014 Tacoma open, losing to Andrew Yun and Michael Putnam, firing the low final round score of -5. He came in 5th in the 2015 Washington State Open, firing the low final round score of -5.
Sandy apprenticed for 8 months at the Jim McLean Golf Center in Texas where he sharpened his knowledge of teaching and the fundamentals of the swing under a world class instructor.
