Women’s Golf Win East Region Invite

Bellevue College’s women’s golf team won their sixth straight tourney title this week at the East Region Invite at Moses Pointe GC. The Bulldogs took on some new competition and were challenged as host Spokane gave Bellevue a tough run with the ‘dogs still earning the win by 11 strokes. Sarah Lawrence birdied the 18th hole on a 10-foot right to left curler to carda 1-under 71 to earn medalist honors. She battled Spokane’s Courtney Jackson in the final pairing in a close battle, with Jackson finishing second overall with a 76. Tori Berger eagled and birdied on the back nine to card an 81 for third while BC’s Ashley Clark fired an 83 to round out Bellevue’s scoring for the team score.

Bellevue plays their final event this Monday and Tuesday at the NWAC Invitational, which serves as an informal replacement of the annual NWAC Championships that were cancelled by the conference back in December.
