Men’s Tennis Suffers Tough Losses To Start Season

Bellevue College men’s tennis lost two matches this weekend, 8-1 to Linfield on Saturday February 16 and 9-0 to Pacific on Sunday February 17.

The Bulldogs began their 2019 with their annual match ups against four-year universities.  The Bulldogs’ Andrew Schuller, playing #4 singles, won the lone match for Bellevue outdueling Linfield’s J.T. Barcellos, 6-2, 3-6, 10-5. Yev Kolomiyets and Oscar Cruz lost a tough #1 doubles battle 8-7.

In Sunday’s matches, Bellevue lost to an undefeated Pacific University team, also a four-year university in the Northwest Conference. Nicholas Berni gave the toughest battle, losing 6-2, 6-2 in #4 singles to Pacfic’s Quentin Gonzalez.

Bellevue plays again this Friday February 22 at Willamette University in Salem, OR with a 5:00 p.m. start.
