The Bellevue College women’s soccer team had their first home game of the season last Friday September 4, defeating Lane CC 2-1. It was the first of two non-conference games in the lead up to the league season starting on Sep 12th. A first half goal from freshman Taylor Weins opened the scoring. Taylor struck from 20 yards out after some excellent individual skill to beat two players. Lane equalized in the second half, but sophomore Anna Roslander scored the winning goal in the 81st minute after a fantastic assisting pass from Melody Blake. Bellevue is now 2-0-1 on the year and will travel to Port Angeles to take on perennial powerhouse Peninsula College on Wednesday, September 9 for a 3:30 p.m. start.
