Bellevue College men’s basketball held on to a 59-54 win at home against Peninsula yesterday as sophomore guard Jalen Ward led the way with 18 points. Ward was hot from the field shooting 6-for-10, including 2-for-3 from three-point range. Backcourt teammate Dominique Jordan added 16 points and five rebounds while Anthony McLaughlin led BC with 11 rebounds. After jumping out to a commanding 38-25 lead, the Bulldogs, who have been the team coming back in the second half all season, saw their lead shrink in half due to a cold shooting percentage of 20% (5-for-24 as a team in the second half). Bellevue runs its record to 11-1 in league and 24-3 overall and maintains its lead over Edmonds in the North Region by one game. Bellevue travels to Whatcom on Wednesday February 25 for a 7PM game that will be played at Meridian HS.
