
The Bulldogs men’s basketball team finished sixth at the Bulldog Classic held at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion this past weekend December 13-15. On Friday, the Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker to Walla Walla 82-81. Down by 8 in the first half, Bellevue rallied back to tie midway in the second half. Sophomore transfer Austin O’Keefe had an open three-pointer from the right side that rimmed out as the clock ran out. O’Keefe led the ‘dogs with 16 points on 7-for-11 shooting from the field from both inside and long range. On Saturday, Bellevue defeated North Region rival Olympic 77-55. Jalen Ward and Darien Muongvang led Bellevue with 15 apiece. The win put Bellevue in the 4th/6th place game against Big Bend, losing 78-68. Down by only one at halftime, Big Bend extended it in the second half for the 10 point win. O’Keefe came up big again. The Jackson HS alum threw in 24 points on 10-for-18 shooting from the field. Bellevue now travels over the pass to play in the Walla Walla Crossover Tourney, opening with a 4PM game vs. Linn-Benton (OR).
