The Bellevue Bulldogs traveled to Pierce College Tuesday, Sept. 10, to face Green River and Pierce in a four-team tournament.
In game one against the Green River Gators, Bellevue took the match in four 25-15, 25-20, 19-25 and 25-17. Bulldogs offense was led by Outside hitter Tessa Kush with 13 kills, middle blocker Darian Foley had eight, and right side Kayley Watkins contributed six. The Bulldogs had 11 blocks in the match led by Foley with three, followed by Kush, Watkins and middle blocker Kelcie Russell with two each. Libero Sara Pulaski had 19 digs for the Bulldogs in the match.
The Bulldogs then faced the Pierce Raiders, again winning in four 25-21, 25-12, 19-25 and 25-19. Foley had 17 kills for the Bulldogs in the match followed by right side Roshel Muzzall with 10 and outside hitter Allison Chin with nine. Bulldog defensive specialist Kylai Cooley had four aces for the Bulldogs. Kush and Russell each had two blocks in the match. Setter Dani Smullin had 29 assists, followed by setter Stephanie Antioquia with 17 for the Bulldogs. The defense was led by Pulaski with 25 digs followed by Antioquia with 14 and Cooley with 10.
The Bulldogs will face off against the Mt. Hood Saints Thursday, Sept. 12, at 3:00PM at Pierce College.
