MEN’S SOCCER GOES 1-1 AT FRIENDLIES

The Bellevue College men’s soccer team defeated Shoreline 3-1 in the season opener before dropping a 2-0 game to Skagit Valley on day two of the NWAACC Friendlies at Starfire Complex in Tukwila. Scoring the goals on Tuesday against Shoreline were Brandon Brooks, Bryant Maxey, and Amir Bazgir.

“The results in both games don’t reflect the true potential of the squad as everyone was given a chance to play,” noted Head Coach Andrew Croft.

“Our defense looked very good and so did our ability to create goal scoring opportunities. The finishing will come and so will the shutouts as soon as we fine tune the little things. It was a great opportunity to give everyone on the squad playing time. Everyone got the chance to play a considerable amount of minutes over the course of two games and it really lets us know who’s ready to step into the starting squad. We are excited for our final dress rehearsal this Friday against Linfield to see if we have made the right choices.” says Croft.
