Bulldogs Defeat Tritons

The Bellevue Bulldogs volleyball team took on the Edmond Tritons Friday, Sept. 21, at Edmonds Community College, and defeated the Tritons in three games 25-17, 33-31 and 25-19. The Bulldogs faced some adversity during the match as their outside hitter Laura Friar went down in the middle of game two with an ankle injury. Bulldog outside hitter Kylai Cooley stepped up for the Bulldogs leading the pack with 19 kills and two aces, followed by middle blocker Darian Foley with 11 and Friar with nine. The Bulldogs defense was led by middle blocker Emina Dodic with 2.5 blocks in the match, aided by Foley and right side Samantha Minnig each with 1.5. Libero Madison Agnew and setter Krista Groves each had 13 digs in the match, and outside hitter Allison Chin had 12. Groves had 46 assists for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs are back in action against the Whatcom CC Orcas on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7:00 p.m. as Bellevue travels to Bellingham to play.
