Freshman Dustin Breshears won two of the six honors in the annual team award voting held last week. The players selected Breshears as the Gold Glove Award and Most Improved (from fall to spring this season) Award winner. Tyler Baumgartner won the Silver Bat Award for his batting average that was over .400 for the entire year. Adrian Sampson was named Most Valuable Pitcher. Sampson’s high school teammate Blake Fulghum won the Paul Villiott Most Inspirational Award, and Colin Hering took home the MVP Award. These players join a long list of former greats that have helped develop Bellevue College baseball into the nationally-recognized program it is today. A complete list of former winners can be found on the history page of the website.
