BC Men’s Golf Finish Fourth at Tourney

Hosting the final NWAACC league match of the season April 29-30, the Bellevue College men’s team took 4th place at Redmond Ridge and Glendale CC. Sophomore Chad Smith led the tournament after the first round with a two under par 68. High winds on the second round led to higher scores for all players, but Smith held in there and carded a 78 to finish one shot off first place, tying for second place with a two-day total of 146. Standout Colten Kleis played well the second day with an even par 72, finishing the tourney two shots off first at 147. Other Bellevue players finished the weekend with Zach Buchanan, T19th; Nathan Stephenson, 31st; Eric Frank, T32; Charles Lee, 39th; and Ryan Maul and Cole Clearman, T40.

Next up, both the men’s and women’s teams travel to Bandon, Oregon, to take part in the Southwestern Oregon CC Invitational, May 12-14, played at the beautiful Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.
