AppleTree Golf Course in Yakima was the sunny site for the men’s and women’s golf Yakima League Match held April 22 and 23. Though only one stroke separated the Bellevue College women’s golf team from the second place team Green River, a win is a win. Bellevue women wrapped up the match with a two-day 507 total, followed by GRCC with 508. This is the fifth consecutive team win for Bellevue women. Individually, Bellevue sophomore Katya Case carded 164 for the two days, earning her second place among the women players. Bulldogs Jamie Kirsila and Corey Rois tied for seventh with 175 each, Kayce
Ogishima placed ninth with 177, and Alayna Herring, 14th, with 185.
On the men’s side, BC men finished fifth in team play. Individually, Colten Kleis came in at 10th carding 150; Nathan Stephenson and Chad Smith tied at 24th; Zach Buchanan, T26; Charles Lee, 30th; and Ryan Maul, 38th.
Bellevue is hosting the next league match to be played April 29 and 30 at Trilogy Golf Club and Glendale Country Club in Redmond and Bellevue, respectively.
