Bulldogs Softball Heating Up the Season

The Bellevue College softball team improved its record to 4-0 in North Region play and 17-2 overall with a doubleheader sweep of Edmonds CC on Saturday, April 7.

The Bulldogs rolled to decisive victories winning by scores of 15-0 and 22-0. Sophomore pitcher Danielle Orvella picked up the win in game one, while Danielle Jackman picked up the win in game two. Emilly Cunningham contributed to the pitching effort, closing out both game one and game two throwing two scoreless inning of relief in each game. Offensively, contributing home runs in the wins were Jackman, Cassidy DeWaele, Haylee Baker and Meagan Ransier. The Bulldogs moved up in the latest NWAACC Coaches Poll, from sixth to fourth place.

Next, the Bulldogs travel to Shoreline CC to play in a North Region contest Tuesday, April 10, with a 1 p.m. start, and then cross the Sound on Saturday, April 14, to take on Olympic College in Bremerton.
