Bellevue College women’s tennis cleaned up all events at the NWAACC Individual Championships held in Stanwood March 10 and 11. The Bulldogs had both #1 and #2 doubles teams in the finals after beating both of Spokane’s #1 and #2 teams in the semis. Anissa Bryant-Swift and Amber Portka won 6-2 6-2 over Martha Santos and Elynn Wu in the finals. In the Singles Draw, Bellevue had three of the four players in the semis with Santos beating Spokane’s #1 player 6-0 6-1 and Bulldog Bryant-Swift beating Portka 7-6 6-1. In the finals, Bryant-Swift defeated Santos 6-0 6-0. All in all, it was a great weekend for Bellevue women’s tennis to see where they stand before NWAACC competition begins, doing this all without #3 player Jazi Ahyat who was out with an elbow injury.
Next up, the Bulldogs travel the weekend of March 17 and 18, to take on Willamette University on Saturday in Salem, OR, then Lewis & Clark College on Sunday in Portland.
