Bellevue College baseball is starting off near where they left off last year, as they were recently ranked twelfth in the country by Perfect Game, the country’s main amateur baseball coverage resource. The Bulldogs ended the 2011 season with a final ranking of eighth in the nation. “The biggest honor is the regularity of our presence in the polls. Once we initially got on the map nationally in 2007 as one of the top JC’s in the country, it’s been a tribute to the players coming through who have kept us in that category for the last six years as the program has really escalated to new heights,” says Coach Mark Yoshino. Bellevue has recently just begun practices for the upcoming season and features several key players including draft prospects Tyler Baumgartner, last year’s NWAACC Championship MVP, Jerad Casper, and Adrian Sampson. A detailed in-depth look at the defending NWAACC Champion squad will be available on the website by late January.
