The NWAACC Volleyball Championship Tournament was held at Mt. Hood CC Nov. 18-20, and while Bellevue College’s volleyball team entered the playoffs on a three-game winning streak and had hoped to carry that momentum into the tournament, in their first match the Bulldogs came up against a wall in the shape of the Mt. Hood CC Saints. The Bulldogs put in a great effort, but Mt. Hood simply overpowered them. Bellevue was not able to get any offense going, recording only 11 kills. Veronica Wetzel again led the team in assists and digs, but it was not enough.
Bellevue played later that same day, Nov. 18, facing the Knights of Wenatchee Valley College and, again, came up short. Wetzel recorded 16 assists and nine digs, while Dez Diego had the second team high in digs with eight and the team had 33 digs overall, but Wenatchee won by scores of 25-19 and 25-23.
Bellevue finished their regular season with an 8-4 (.667) record in league play, and finished 4th in the West Region.
