Also on Sept. 19, Bellevue College took on the women’s Walla Walla team which is ranked 2nd in the NWAACC Coaches’ Poll. The Bulldogs played a good defensive first half, repelling many quality attacks by the Warriors, playing to a 2-0 Walla Walla lead at the half. BC starting keeper, sophomore Kristina Myles (Seattle Christian), received a concussion during the first half, forcing her to sit out the second. Walla Walla finished the match with strong, persistent offensive opportunities, scoring four more goals to end it at 6-0.
BC women’s early season league record is 1-2-0. Early season games have been against strong teams in the East Division. The team continues to prepare for in-conference West Division matches.
The next match for BC women is against Wenatchee Valley College on the BC Soccer Field, Sat., Sept. 26, at 12 p.m.
