It will prepare you for a career in meteorology, whether it be forecasting or researching different weather phenomena. College coursework for a meteorology degree is similar to preparing to major in physics, so the Science, Track II degree is usually the best fit for students considering Meteorology.

Oceanography is the study of the Earth’s oceans, including all its living and non-living components. Oceanographers might study ocean currents, waves and tides, marine ecosystems, underwater volcanoes, or the impact of humans on the ocean. There are many sub-disciplines within this science, leading to careers such as fisheries scientist, environmental consultant, research scientist, ocean engineer, marine policy analyst, marine conservationist, and more. Either the general associate degree (AAS-DTA) or the Science, Track I pathway are suitable for students interested in oceanography.
