The Office of Community Care & Institutional Transformation

The Office of Community Care & Institutional Transformation's (OCCIT) primary function at Bellevue College is a commitment to community affairs, restorative practices, and educational resources. We understand the root causes of inequity and disrupt behaviors that sustain systems of power through continuous learning and collaborative practices. We are responsible for compliance with policies covering discrimination, harassment, accommodations, equal opportunity, harm prevention, and service to care for Bellevue College and the wider community.

The Watchdog

Published weekly since 1967, The Watchdog is the student voice of Bellevue College, covering news and issues affecting the campus community. With the support of two professional staff, it is written, edited, and led by Bellevue College students who have an interest in journalism, writing, or news in general.

Theater Arts

The Theatre Arts Department of Drama and Dance expands and enriches the learning, life, and culture of all students and faculty of Bellevue College by introducing audiences to a variety of current, historical, and cultural perspectives.

Title IX

Title IX prohibits sex-based discrimination in all college programs, activities, and employment. Title IX protection from discrimination extends to faculty, staff and students. It covers a wide array of sex- and gender-based discrimination, including: sexual harassment, sexual violence, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, gender identity, gender expression, and pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions. It also prohibits retaliation against anyone who makes a complaint or participates in a Title IX process. The Title IX office staff is available to discuss Title IX concerns, options for resolution, and available supportive measures so that those impacted can make an informed decision about how, and if, they want to proceed.
