How Web Registration Works
This quick primer gets you started with web registration for credit classes and provides answers to some common questions.
Visit the Continuing Education website for questions about how to register for Continuing Education classes.
Before starting web registration, you’ll need:
- Item numbers for classes you want to take (use the online Schedule Planner, or check the Credit Class Schedule; line up alternates)
- Your Student ID number and Personal Identification Number (PIN)
- Your assigned registration access date and time, viewable at http://bellevuecollege.edu/services/appointment.asp
- To check if you have met the course prerequisite (see course description in Credit Class Schedule. If you completed the prerequisite at another college or university, visit the Course Prerequisites website for more information)
- Watch a video of how it works
All registering students will receive registration information, including your access time, via your e-mail.
If you don’t receive this information, make sure the college has your correct e-mail address; check the website or visit the Student Services Center.
You may register for classes on the Web from your assigned access time through the third day of the academic quarter.
You may drop or withdraw from classes on the Web until the end of the seventh week (fifth week summer quarter).

How do I get my SID?
You may retrieve your SID online now.
Students who apply will receive their SID via e-mail after the application has been processed. If the online tool to retrieve your SID fails to find the match, you will need to come in person with photo id.

What is my PIN?
Your personal id number (PIN) is initially set as your birth date when you applied for admissions, using the MMDDYY format. If you have not changed your PIN since you were enrolled at BC, try to use your birth date to log in with the MMDDYY format.
If the MMDDYY format does not work and if your month starts with a zero, try again by omitting that first zero (making the PIN a 5 digit number). You should change your PIN on a regular basis to further protect your personal information. Changing your PIN can easily be located from the My Online Services menu.

How do I confirm my registration time?
You may confirm your registration time online now.
You will be required to wait to register until your appointed time (or anytime after) to register for your classes. The time assigned to you is based on how early you submitted your admissions application.
Registration deadlines still apply so it is important to make sure you register before all registration deadlines to guarantee that you will not incur any additional fees or late charges.

How do I get a registration access?
Here are some reasons why you do not have an assigned registration time:
- You were not enrolled at BC for 4 consecutive quarters or more (including summer quarter). You need to re-apply for admission to re-activate your account in order to receive access time for registration.
- Your admission application is still being processed. Once the process has been completed, you will receive an email notifying your access time for registration.
- You have not applied for admission to our college yet. You need to apply for admission in order to receive access time for registration.
Application deadlines still apply so it is important to make sure you reapply before application deadlines to guarantee that you will not incur any additional problems.
You can reapply online through the web admissions center.

How do I add or drop a class?
After you’ve followed the steps to register, you can modify your list of classes up until the deadline for registration.
Follow these steps to add or drop a class:
- Go to http://bellevuecollege.edu/enrollment/registration/register/
- Type your student identification number (SID) in the SID field
- Enter your student PIN in the PIN field
- Select the correct quarter from the quarter drop-down list
- Click the 'LOG IN' button
- Enter the item number of the classes you wish to add or drop
(These fields will be located in the vertical frame of the schedule screen). Use the 4-digit item number format (i.e., 4592, 8854, and 2301, etc.) - Click the Submit button
Note: If you enter a class item number for a class you are already registered in, the registration system will automatically interpret this as a request to drop the class. Likewise, if you enter a class item number that you are not yet registered for, the system will interpret the request as a new class you are adding to your existing registration.

How does the waitlist work?
If the class you wish to register for is full you will be asked if you want to be added to the waitlist.
The waitlist offers students a fair and consistent method of being enrolled in a full class if openings occur. If you choose to be put on the waitlist, you will be automatically registered for the class when a space becomes available thru the third day of the quarter (fall-spring, second day summer quarter). If you decide you no longer want to be on the waiting list for a class, return to web registration to check your waitlist status and have your name removed from the waiting list. Please check your schedule several times daily to find out if you have been registered for the class, and to be informed of your tuition and fees. If you register into another section of the same class you are waitlisted for, you will be dropped from the waitlisted section. If you have not been registered via the waiting list process by the first day of classes, go to the class on the first day for further instructions.

How do I troubleshoot 'server busy' or 'time-out' messages?
When you receive the message, 'Server session has timed out,' it can mean a couple different things.
You may be trying to access online services during off-hours.
Check the available service hours to first make certain you are accessing the service during an available time.
You may be accessing the service during a period of heavy use. This will sometimes result in receiving this message.
Keep trying to access the schedule information or online service--you should eventually be able to get through if you are accessing during available hours. If you continue to have problems and need immediate assistance, you can call (425) 564-2222.
If you are accessing the Internet through AOL, there may be a compatibility problem with your AOL browser.
You should be able to eliminate server 'time-out' messages when using AOL if you connect to the Internet with AOL, but use the Internet Explorer browser instead of the AOL browser.
