CollegeNet via XP (SP2 or better) using built-in wireless setup
- Go to "Control Panels"
- Open "Network Connections"
- Right click wireless interface and choose "View Available Wireless Networks"
- Double-Click on "CollegeNet" a please wait screen will come up

- Click on "Change advanced settings"

- Click on the "Wireless Networks" tab

- If "CollegeNet" is not already highlighted click on it then click on the "Properties" button

- Click on the "Authentication" tab

- Remove the checkmark from "Authenticate as computer when computer information is available"
- From the "EAP type" drop down menu choose "Protected EAP (PEAP)"
- Click on the "Properties" button

- Remove the checkmark from "Validate server certificate"
- If this is not a campus domain added system (any student station or personal station) click on the "Configure..." button.

- Remove the checkmark from the "Atuomatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)" box.
- Click on the "OK" buttons till the windows are closed.
- From the lower right click on the message bubble that states "Click here to select a certifcate or other credentials for connection to the network CollegeNet"

- For "User name" type student\MyUsername for students and campus\MyUsername for admin users


- In the "Password" box type in the valid password
- Leave the "Logon Domain" box blank. it will take a minute to connect
CollegeNet via XP (SP2 or better) using Intel software
- Open the Intel ProSet Wireless WiFi Connection utility (usually by double clicking the icon in the lower right of the screen).
- Find the CollegeNet name located in the "WiFi Networks" listing and double click on it

- Click on the "Next" button
- The software will probe the Access point for security settings. Once done click on the "Next" button

- In the "Step 1 of 2: PEAP User" box type student\MyUsername for student or campus\MyUsername for admin in the "User Name" field.
- Leave the "Domain" field blank.
- Type the appropriate password in the "Password" and "Confirm Password" fields.
- In the "Roaming Identity" field type student\MyUsername
- Click on the "Next" button

- Remove the checkmark from "Validate Server Certificate"
- Click on the "Next" button
