CollegeNet on OSX

Depending on your computer setup you may be prompted to logon to your macintosh or accept a certificate while following these directions. For the certificate if you view the certificate you will notice it is issued by "bellevuecollege-CA" and would come from either bouncer1.student.bellevuecollege.edu or bouncer2.student.bellevuecollege.edu. You must accept this certificate to be able to connect. An example of the screen is shown at the end of this page

  • Navigate to System Preferences

  • Open the "Network" preferences and select "Airport". Make sure your AirPort is on

  • Click on the 'Advanced" button

  • Click on the "+" button

  • Click on the "Show Networks" button

  • Click on the CollegeNet network. In the User Name field type student\MyUsername if you are a student or campus\MyUsername if you are an admin user. Then type the password you would normally use with that account.

  • Click on the "Add" button

  • Click the "OK" button
  • Click on the "Apply" button
  • You should now be able to connect to the CollegeNet wireless
